Our Staff

We realise that having the right staff is important when looking after children. All of our staff are fully CRB checked and hold the relevant childcare qualifications. We have a wonderful team here of fourteen staff, all of whom have a wealth of experience. A number of our staff also have children in the nursery. Our staff turnover is low and one member of our team has been employed with us for over thirty years!

We are committed to furthering our knowledge of childcare and education practice and staff regularly attend training courses. These courses include: Child Protection, Observation Skills, Common Assessment Framework, Health and Safety plus many more on offer from the Children’s Services Training Team.

The staff are consistent in each group, and every child is allocated a key worker as a first point of contact.

Hi my name is Rachel and I am the Manageress at Trinity Play Centre. I have been working here since I was 16 years old, I started my career here as an apprentice and over the years I have gained more experience within the nursery, which has enabled me to successfully carry out my current role. Overall now, I have been here 22years. I find my role very delightful and rewarding, I especially love meeting new parents and children, I thrive watching the children grown and learn through play. Occasionally past pupils will come back and visit us at the nursery; this is a very pleasant experience. I am a mum of 2, on my days off, I ensure the children and I are off on adventures. Currently of a Sunday we watch my son play football.

Hi my name is Shannon; I started my career with Trinity Play Centre two years ago. Originally I started here as a work placement for a year and then I was asked to stay and complete my apprenticeship with them. I am now half way through my apprenticeship now and this is due to be completed by the end of the year. On my days off, I enjoy to spend my time shopping with family and friends.

Hi my name is Kirsty. My role within Trinity Play Centre is Senior Officer; I have currently been working here now for 13years. My position at present is working with the 0-2 years. Even after all the years of working with children, I still find it very enjoyable watching the children develop and create their own personalities. I have a real passion for live music and music festivals. I love to read in my spare time. I’m a huge fan of Disney, unicorns and ladybirds.

Hi my name is Laura. I have been working with Trinity since 2011, my career here started as an apprentice and my current role is now Deputy Manageress.  I currently work with the toddlers. I have 3 children of my own and I spend my free time supporting their hobbies. I’m a keen jet setter throughout the year, my family and I love our holidays.

Hi my name is Linda, I am the cook at Trinity Play Centre. I have undertaken this role here for 27 years. I love my job and it’s an absolute pleasure watching the children enjoy my home cooked meals. I am a keen shopper in my spare time, I also like to like and sew.

Hello my name is Lesley and my career with Trinity Play Centre currently spans 5 years. Having worked within the nursery, I have gained a NVQ Level 2. My favourite activity with the children is messy play. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, jigsaws and socialising with friends.

Hello my name is Debbie, I have been working with Trinity Play Centre for 9 years. At present I work with the children aged between 0-2 years. I enjoy being creative with the children. On my days off I enjoy seeing family and friends, reading and also long weekends away.

Hi my name is Hilda, I have worked as the cleaner for Trinity Play Centre now for 5 years. On occasions I also help with the children, which I find a real pleasure. In my own time, I favour spending time with my grandson and doing a lot of shopping!

Hi my name is Sandra and at present i’m currently working part time with the children aged 3 and. I retired from Trinity in 2010 but returned temporarily to cover maternity leave – 8 years later and i’m still here due to the love of the role. Its such a pleasure to be able to contribute towards the development of the children and tend to their everyday needs. It is a great enjoyment to know they are happy in a safe environment.

Outside of my role at Trinity, I like to read a lot, visiting the theatre to see the ballet and I have a great passion for travel.

Hi my name is Jo and I’ve been working at Trinity Play Centre since 2011. I came to Trinity on a work placement, whilst training for my level 3 and was lucky enough then to become a member of staff. I currently work with the children aged between 3 and 4, I love that every day with them is different. Working with this certain age group, I help them transition from pre-school to primary school. My key area is helping them learn through play. When at home, I am a keen baker – I really love to bake but overall I’m very crafty, especially when it comes to crocheting.
