Dear All
We hope that you had a good summer and took advantage of the lovely sunny and hot weather. Let’s hope that the autumn weather is just as kind and the seasonal cold will be later to arrive than usual. However, it is a beautiful time of the year and the first weeks of term we use harvest and autumn as topics. You will find a list of this term’s special dates attached and you will see that it is a busy one.
On 24th October there will be a photographer coming to take pictures of the children. It will be Hallow’een on the 31st October. We are going to make it a fun day with games to play. It will be a dress up day and we hope all the children can come in their scariest outfits! There are other dress up days to remember too. On November 16th it is Children in Need day. The children can come in their pyjamas if you are willing to donate a pound to the charity. Similarly, on December 14th for Save the Children it will be wear your Christmas jumper day. It is fun to see all the jumpers and for a good cause too.
On 3rd, 4th and 5th December we are inviting you to come and have lunch with your child. Keep a look out for the posters nearer the time as spaces are limited and you don’t want to miss it. We are holding a Christmas Fair on 1st December. There will be more information about this nearer the time.
With the colder weather coming you must make sure that your child comes to nursery in coats, hats and gloves. We go outside to play even if it is cold. Please do not bring in scarves as these can present a danger when the children are running around outside. Also, you must bring in shoes for your child to change into if they are wearing wellington boots when they arrive in the morning. We do not allow the children to wear boots all day.
Finally, this term finishes on Friday 21st December and Trinity will re-open for the Spring term on January 2nd 2019.
That’s all for now
